'Companions' is inspired during a quiet staycation at Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island back in 2022. Chloe encountered this striking pair—a peacock and his peahen—gracefully wandering through the resort grounds. There was a calm dignity about them, a bond that seemed almost ceremonial. She captured their image in a photograph, and only painted in early 2025. With her own visual style, she painted not just their physical beauty, but the emotional presence they exuded—protective, poised, and profoundly connected.

Surrounding them was an imagined lush sanctuary, part memory part referencing from the trees outside her window.
